About RaiseSteady
RaiseSteady (raisesteady.com) is a website for parents and carers of children aged 4 to 15. It has short games that a parent plays with a child (5 to 15 minutes, on paper or on a phone), quizzes for parents and about children, and bedtime stories to read aloud. It is a guide for playing together, not a scientifically tested or clinical programme, and it can’t promise results.
- What is on it: a 5-minute parent quiz (the assessment) of 15 questions that ends with a family plan and a free sample of the book Steady; 64 games in seven tracks (Numbers, Logic, Language, Focus & Memory, Character, Media Smart and Parent Lab); 24 quizzes; 24 bedtime stories. No ads in the games.
- Free: every game, quiz and story, with a free account (an email address and a 6-digit code, no card). The parent quiz, 16 of the games, 14 of the quizzes and 6 of the stories need no account at all. A free account also gets one email a week with a game to play together; one click stops it.
- Membership: US$15 a month or US$120 a year. After the parent quiz, a family that has never been a member can take a first month for US$0.99 (once per family), then US$15 a month. Membership is for the 12-week programme, built from the parent quiz. It includes the family report and detailed weekly guidance, by email and on the dashboard. Each week brings a skill for the parent, short daily games, a family challenge and a chapter of Steady. Members also get a short reminder email on the other programme days, and answers from Anna by email. Cancel any time before the next payment. Within 30 days of the first full payment, RaiseSteady refunds everything paid so far, on request.
- The book, Steady: eleven short chapters for parents. Quiz-takers get the introduction and one chapter free; members read the rest one chapter a week and keep the whole book after the 12 weeks. A hardback family edition is open for reservations, with nothing paid now.
- Privacy: RaiseSteady is for the parent; children have no account and play with a parent or carer. The dashboard needs only a first name or nickname and an age band for each child, never a full name or date of birth. Without logging in, game progress and quiz answers stay on the family’s device. With a free account or a membership, a logged-in parent’s game rounds (the game, the level and the score) are saved to the dashboard. Quiz answers stay on the device, and a quiz result is saved only when the parent taps Save. Payments go through Stripe.
- Languages: English, Spanish, Chinese (Simplified), Russian and Georgian, each at its own address: raisesteady.com/es, /zh, /ru and /ka.
